Rutler was born in Los Angeles, California to Matthew Rutler and Christina Aguilera. Her father is of Irish and Puerto Rican descent and Her mother is of Dutch, Ecuadorian, English, French, German, Irish, Northern Irish (Scotch-Irish) and Welsh descent.
