Early life[]

He was born in Sunset, Vancouver, British Columbia to Phil Hartman and Brynn Omahl. Sean’s parents died in a murder-suicide, perpetrated by his mother, when he was nine years old, after which he and his sister went to live with their maternal aunt and uncle in the mid west. His father is of English, German, and Irish descent and His mother is of Brazilian, Danish, English, French Canadian, Mexican, Norwegian, Portuguese, Scottish, Swedish and Spanish descent.
