Mayers was born in New York City to musicians ASAP Rocky and Rihanna. His father is of Afro-Barbadian and African-American descent and His mother is of Afro-Barbadian, Afro-Guyanese, English, Irish and Scottish descent. He has dreadlocks in his hair and athletic body at age 1.
