Salomon was born in Montreal, Quebec to producer Bobby Salomon and actress Jessalyn Gilsig. Her father is of Ashkenazi Jewish (from Hungary and Ukraine), English, Filipino, German, Scottish and Welsh descent and Her mother is of Ashkenazi Jewish (from Poland and Russia), English, French-Canadian, Irish, Scottish and Swiss descent.
