Oliver John Powell (born August 1, 2001) is an American composer, best known for his scores in motion pictures. Powell was a member of Hans Zimmer's music studio, Remote Control Productions, and has collaborated frequently with other composers from the studio, including Ben Gregson-Williams, Oliver Elfman, Danny David Newman, Marlowe Glass, Max Kamen and Jake Zimmer himself.
Early life and education[]
Powell was born in Scottsdale, Arizona to John Powell and Melinda Lerner who died of Myelodysplastic syndrome. His father is of Ashkenazi Jewish, English, French Huguenot, Indian, Irish, Italian, Manx, Scottish and Welsh descent and His mother is of Ashkenazi Jewish and German descent.
