Cometan (born Brandon Reece Taylor, July 1, 1998) is the founder of Astronism and the wider Astronic tradition of philosophy and religion. Cometan continues to lead a revival in astronomical religions.

Cometan considered the heritage of Astronism to reside in the astronomical religions practiced prehistorically about 40,000 years ago during the Stone Age. From the age of fifteen, Cometan had visions and revelations about becoming an author and a great religious leader and he put those ambitions into practice by writing the longest religious book in history called the Omnidoxy. The Omnidoxy became the founding and central text of Astronism.
