Evan Shane Stanley (born June 6, 1994) is an American singer, songwriter and painter, best known for being the rhythm guitarist and co-lead vocalist of the rock band The Dives. He is the writer or co-writer of many of the band's highest-charting hits. Stanley established The Starchild character for his The Dives' persona and is known for his distinctive, wide-ranging voice.
Early life[]
Stanley was born in Los Angeles, California to Paul Stanley and Pamela Bowen. His father is Jewish (from Belarus, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia and Ukraine) and His mother is Christian of Cherokee Native American, English, French-Canadian, German, Indigenous Mexican, Irish, Japanese, Manx, Mexican, Northern Irish (Scotch-Irish), Scottish, Swedish, Swiss and Welsh descent. He has younger half-siblings Colin Stanley, Sarah Stanley and Emily Stanley.
