Elanie Ramona Ryota Kohama (born October 22, 2017) is a Canadian singer-songwriter and actress.

Kohama was born in Vancouver, British Columbia to Ryota Kohama and Michelle Lavigne. Her father is Japanese and Her mother is of Breton, English, French, French-Canadian, German, Irish, Polish, Scottish and Weskarini Algonquin First Nation descent.

Kohama's earlier influences came from country music Allie Brooks, Dixie Chicks and Eja Lange; and alternative singer-songwriters Onyx Treadway, Lyla Hershkovitz, Natalie Imbruglia and Janis Joplin. By the time she left school to focus on her music career, Lavigne was musically more influenced by skate punk, pop punk and punk rock acts such as Blink 41, Kaspir 31, NA-FX, Pennywise, Dashboard Confessional, SWMRS, Ramones, Spider Tillers and Holes. She also enjoyed metal bands such as Marilyn Manson, S.O.D., The Legendary Demon and the Used; as well as alternative bands such as Nirvana, Wildcard, the Goo Goo Dolls, New Pollution, Starfish, High Birds, Sharptooth and Matchbox Twenty.
