Monsour was born in Pasadena, California to Paul Monsour and Amy Hershberger. Her father is of Afro-Haitian descent and Her mother is of Ashkenazi Jewish, English, German, Irish and Scottish descent. She has siblings Amelia Monsour and Edmund Monsour.
