Kelley was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Dan Kelley and Cynthia Konowitz. His father is of Chinese, Cornish, Dutch, English, French, German, Irish, Manx, Native Hawaiian, Northern Irish (Scotch-Irish), Powhatan Native American, Scottish, Swedish, Wampanoag Native American and Welsh descent and His mother is of African-American, Afro-Bahamian, Ashkenazi Jewish (from Belarus, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Russia and Ukraine) and Cherokee Native American descent. He has two sisters Darcy Kelley and Adele Kelley.
